G&L Scientific Booksellers has supplied academic libraries worldwide with specialist publications in African and Asian Studies since 1985. Galda Verlag, founded in 2017, extends that mission: we now create the scholarship we have long helped to distribute.
This unusual model — a book dealer funding its own publishing house — means we can offer genuine no-fee publishing while maintaining the production quality and library reach that scholars and institutions expect.

G&L Scientific Booksellers founded
Berlin-based international library supplier established, specialising in African and Asian Studies.
2017
Galda Verlag founded
Publishing arm created — the book trade now funding a publisher open to all scholars of African and Asian Studies.
