ABOUT THE SERIES

There is hardly a wider field imaginable than the joint inquiry of Arts and Literatures. It becomes even wider if there are no theoretical limitations or a focus on a specific approach. This series welcomes diverse approaches in areas such as “Bildwissenschaft”, sociology of art, reception theory, manifesto studies or Literary studies, history of literature, literary, but also dissertations, monographs and for both, Arts and Literature, feminist or post-colonial approaches.
But where then is the purpose and approach of this series, one may ask, if arbitrariness is not meant to be the result?
The aim of this series is to provide a platform for scholars all over the world to publish their studies on the global phenomena of Literature and Art. Galda Verlag is thus transferring its traditionally worldwide regional approach—until now with a focus on Asian and African studies—in a new field: Arts and Literature.
