This study is a critical appraisal of the secondary school English curricula reform in Benin. Its relevance lies in the fact that the implementation of the curricula started in 2001 and so far, no evaluation has been conducted to determine whether the established objectives are being reached. The objective of the study is to contribute to the improvement of the secondary school English curricula. More specifically, the study aims at conducting a critical analysis of the development of the English curricula and evaluating the design and implementation of such curricula.
